Russian media outlet TASS reported that Zhang Xiaogang, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense of China, speaking at a briefing called NATO a source of discord highlighting that it has unleashed wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Ukraine.
The spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense of China, said: "NATO is a machine that sows the chaos of war, it has brought the flames of war and disaster to the regions and people of Ukraine and Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya."
Xiaogang added that in recent years, NATO has continued to "spread its evil hooks" into the Asia-Pacific region.
The spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense of China also called the NATO summit “full of lies” which was held on July 9-11 hosted by the United States. At this summit the US President called the occupation of Afghanistan a mistake.
According to TASS, Xiaogang pointed out that the final communique of the NATO summit is "full of lies, prejudice, incitement and slander." "We express extreme dissatisfaction and strong protest over this," he stressed.

Earlier, Chinese media outlets also reported that Wu Qian, a Chinese defense spokesperson, slammed NATO as "a walking war machine that causes chaos wherever it goes."
