Acting Minister Says Modern Education Needed for Airspace Protection

Sayed Habibullah Agha, the acting Minister of Education, said that Afghans can prevent drone patrols and protect the country's airspace by acquiring modern education.

At a ceremony recognizing the top students in the 1403 solar year entrance exam, he emphasized the collective responsibility (Fard Kifaya) of modern education and added that both modern and religious sciences are essential for society today.

The Acting Minister of Education said, "They have reached the skies, drones patrol the airspace, and what do we have against them? Nothing. We must develop it, as it is essential for us to protect ourselves and our country's geography."

According to Habibullah Agha, the Islamic Emirate is not opposed to modern sciences and is striving for their advancement.

"Our Afghan and Islamic society needs modern sciences, and learning these sciences is a collective obligation (Fard Kifaya) upon us," he stated.

Noorulhaq Anwar, the head of the Administrative Office, stressed the importance of utilizing the country's capacities and talents, noting that some countries are attempting to remove Afghan professionals.

Education Ministry officials also added that the use of phones and social networks should be banned in educational centers.

The head of the Administrative Office said, "It is necessary that God has given an individual better talent, and they can cover more distance in less time, so governments should create good opportunities for them."

Sibghatullah Wasel, the Deputy Minister for Resources and Administration at the Ministry of Education, said, "We need to conduct research on the harms of phones in educational centers and take steps to block them."

Atal Khan Rahimzai, the top scorer in the national entrance exam, said, "We ask the Ministry of Education to address the lack of subjects, computers, standard science labs, and other issues in schools so that young people can learn effectively."

In this event, the Ministry of Education honored the top twenty students of the 1403 solar year national entrance exam with certificates and awards.
