Suhail Shaheen, the head of the political office of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar, discussed issues following the third Doha meeting with Jean-Marin Schuh, Chargé d’Affaires of France for Afghanistan.
Shaheen said that in this meeting, alternative projects for poppy cultivation and drugs, the health sector, and Afghanistan's private sector were also discussed.
Suhail Shaheen on X said: "Today, I met with Jean-Marin Schuh, Chargé d’Affaires of France for Afghanistan, and discussed following up on the third Doha meeting, alternative projects for farmers, private sectors, health, and climate change."
Meanwhile, some political analysts, emphasizing the positive role of the Islamic Emirate's political office in Qatar, said that the mentioned issues should be pursued in the next meeting.
"The world now understands that the caretaker government of Afghanistan wants to make its policy economy-oriented and to continue political and economic interactions with countries," Shams Rahman Ahmadi, a political analyst, told TOLOnews.
In the third Doha meeting, participants also discussed economic issues, the fight against drugs, Afghanistan's financial and banking system, and support for the private sector with a focus on supporting women entrepreneurs.
Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, said about the third Doha meeting that an agreement was reached to form two working groups on the private sector and the eradication of drugs.
