Yaqoob Mujahid: Islamic Emirate Has Disciplined, Independent, Islamic Army

Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the acting Minister of Defense, stated in a meeting in Kandahar addressing reform in the Islamic Emirate Army that the Islamic Emirate currently possesses a disciplined, independent, and Islamic army.

The Acting Minister of Defense added that the current army, grounded in Islamic beliefs and thinking, has also received modern training.

Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid stated: "At present, Afghanistan has a disciplined, independent, and Islamic army that includes infantry, artillery, armored vehicles, air force, and commandos. This army has received training in Islamic ideology and thoughts and has good combat experience."

Mohammad Mateen Mohammadhail, a military affairs expert, shared his views on the current army: "They are fully familiar with various weapons and military techniques and have received comprehensive training. This army defends its homeland and people."

Additionally, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior, stated in the same meeting that the officials of the caretaker government, as before the Islamic Emirate's rise to power, remain under the leadership of an Amir and have not fought for power.

Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, stated: "One of the secrets of our progress and the fulfillment of our goals has been unity and agreement under the leadership and obedience to the Amir-ul-Mu'mineen, may Allah protect him, and the leadership of the Emirate."

On the other hand, Abdul Haq Wasiq, the acting head of General Intelligence, who was present at the meeting in Kandahar, stated that the physical and hot war in the country has ended; however, the cold and ideological war is still ongoing.

Abdul Haq Wasiq added: "The physical and hot war has ended; however, the cold and ideological war is still ongoing, and the main target of this war is our Mujahideen, aiming to divide them."

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, was another speaker at the meeting. He urged the country's army to avoid actions that cause public resentment.

Amir Khan Muttaqi stated: "The army is the protector of the people and the government and should gain such popularity that all people stand by them. The Islamic Emirate's army must increase its popularity so that people stand by them."

This meeting was attended by more than 600 officials of the Islamic Emirate's army, with the presence of the leader of the Islamic Emirate and some cabinet members in Kandahar.

Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, also attended this meeting, which concluded on Thursday last week after three days, and he called on the officials of the Islamic Emirate to avoid division and discord.
