3 Years Since Islamic Emirate's Return to Power Marked

Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, in a message on the occasion of the third anniversary of the Islamic Emirate's return to power in Afghanistan, says that the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate towards the people has not ended and that efforts must continue to sustain the regime and ensure stability in the country.

In his message, the Prime Minister referred to August 14 as the day of the Islamic Emirate's victory over the U.S. and NATO.

"Mujahideen, officials, and the entire faithful nation must be aware that our duty did not end with the victory in jihad. We now have the responsibility to strengthen the regime, rebuild the country, protect the people's property and honor, and compensate for the damages caused by previous wars."

In anticipation of August 14, the anniversary of the Islamic Emirate's return to power in Afghanistan, preparations were underway in Kabul and across the provinces. Some residents of the capital marked the third anniversary by purchasing flags of the Islamic Emirate, showing their support for the current government.

Naqibullah, a Kabul resident, told TOLOnews: "Security is excellent, but many young people and families are selling their homes due to poverty, and some are fleeing. We request that these shortcomings be addressed."

Jawid, another resident of Kabul, said: "We are satisfied with the Islamic Emirate government, but it should create job opportunities for the people."

At the same time, a political analyst suggested that the Islamic Emirate should draw on past experiences to establish lasting governance in the country. He added that for the government to endure, it must pay attention to the people's demands.

Sayed Qaribullah Sadat, a political analyst, told TOLOnews: "The constitution, human rights, and the reopening of universities and schools are national demands, not just the demands of other countries. The Islamic Emirate should comply with these and learn from past mistakes, where we faced challenges."

Three years ago today, on August 14, 2021, the Islamic Emirate entered Kabul and took power. The twenty-year-old republic system collapsed as a result.
