Online Passport Registration Begins at Three New Centers in Kabul

The spokesperson of the General Directorate of Passports has announced that the online passport registration process in three newly established passport distribution centers in Kabul began on Tuesday, August 13th.

Noorullah Patman, also said that from now on, the online registration site for the central branch of the General Directorate of Passports in Kabul will be active on Saturdays, while it will be active for the newly opened branches in Kabul on Tuesdays.

Noorullah Patman, the spokesperson for the General Directorate of Passports, told TOLOnews: "Every Tuesday, we process 2,000 people in our three branches. Once the capacity of our central branch is filled, the site will automatically close."

However, some passport applicants are asking for more convenience in the payment process for passports.

Sayed Israr, a passport applicant, said: "There is no bank nearby, and I have to travel a long distance for this."

Another applicant, Rahim Shah, said: "The online process is a successful one. I registered online about 5 or 6 days ago, and today was my turn."

Following an increase in passport applications, the General Directorate of Passports opened three new centers in the capital on July 17th of this year to expedite the passport distribution process.
