Special Committee Formed to Streamline Electronic ID Card Distribution

The Arg announced in a statement the formation of a special committee aimed at facilitating the distribution of electronic ID cards.

According to the statement, the committee has been appointed under the directive of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and it is expected to evaluate the current process and report its findings to the Prime Minister's Office to enhance the ease of obtaining electronic ID cards.

Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, also pledged that efforts are being made by the Islamic Emirate to facilitate the process of obtaining electronic ID cards.

The Deputy Spokesperson further said: "Led by the Deputy Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Sayed Ahmad Mustaqim, this committee will review the process of printing and distributing electronic ID cards, and after assessing the existing challenges and their solutions, a report will be sent to the Prime Minister's Office."

Meanwhile, some applicants for electronic ID cards have expressed satisfaction with the formation of this committee and have requested an increase in the number of distribution centers for these ID cards.

"If this committee is indeed established, it will create real ease for the people, because currently, people are unable to obtain their ID cards even in fifteen days or a month," said Feraidun, one of the applicants.

Residents of Kabul and citizens coming to Kabul to obtain electronic ID cards have previously stressed the need for more facilities to be provided in Kabul and other provinces to make the process easier.
