The acting Minister of Interior, during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a large mosque in Paktia, said that the war in the country has ended, and now it is time for reconstruction.

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani said that in the past, reconstruction efforts in Paktia province were neglected, but the attention of the Islamic Emirate will be greater.

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior, said: "Alhamdulillah, security has been established throughout Afghanistan by the grace of God. God has ended the phase of war and crisis, and the people's hope is that Afghanistan will make daily progress in construction, development, and rebuilding efforts."

The residents of Paktia said that after years of waiting, the time has come to work on the development of this province.

They also demand the fulfillment of the promises made by the government.

Injeer Gul, a resident of Paktia, said: "From the center to the Patan border, the Machalgho dam road, similarly from the Tiri Pass road dam to the road from the center to Paktika, from the center to the borders of Ghazni, the airport, and in the same way, our regional hospital must provide reliable services."

Mohammad Shah Fazli, another resident, said: "We hope that just as they came for the mosque, they will take steps for other issues as well, and we will come again and again to welcome them. The projects should be inaugurated, and their work should begin."

This mosque is being funded by donor organizations and traders at a cost of 3.5 million dollars.

The construction will be completed within three years, and it will have the capacity to accommodate 10,000 worshippers at a time.
