According to the decree of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, new appointments have been made in the interim government cabinet.
The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate said that based on this decree, several figures, including deputies, governors, police chiefs, and heads of departments in some provinces and ministries, have been appointed.
The appointments include:
- Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, former Deputy of the Railway Department of the Ministry of Public Works, has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Public Health.
- Muhammad Khan Dawat, former Commander of the 205th Al-Badr Corps, has been appointed the Governor of Kunduz Province.
- Hayatullah Mubarak, former District Governor of Gereshk District in Helmand Province, has been appointed the Governor of Ghor Province.
- Ahmad Shah Dindost, former Governor of Ghor Province, has been appointed the Commander of the 205th Al-Badr Corps.
- Abdul Wali Atqani, former Head of Human Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, has been appointed as Police Chief of Jowzjan Province.
- Mawlawi Muhammad Ishaq Sahibzada, former Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Public Health, has been appointed the Deputy of the Railway Department in the Ministry of Public Works.
- Mullah Abdul Salam Hussaini, former District Governor of Musa Qala District in Helmand Province, has been appointed the Police Chief of Kapisa Province.
- Haji Nur Agha Haidar, former Security Officer of the Badghis Police Command, has been appointed Police Chief of Ghor Province.
- Qari Hafizullah Pahlawan, former Police Chief of Jawzjan Province, has been appointed Security Officer [second-in-command] of the Badghis Police Command.
- Mawlawi Azizullah Mustafa, former Head of Education in Nangarhar Province, has been appointed Deputy Governor of this province.
- Haji Muhammad Usman, former Police Chief of Kapisa Province, has been appointed Head of Human Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock.
- Mawlawi Rahmatullah Fazeel, former Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed a member of the Central Fatwa Council, along with seven others who have been appointed as police chiefs and deputies in various provinces and ministries.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said the purpose of the new appointments is to improve the governance process.
"These recent appointments are also for the betterment of the daily activities in various fields. In some provinces, there were people's demands, and in other places, there was the need for more suitable individuals to fill positions in our administration," said Zabihullah Mujahid.
Experts shared differing opinions on the new appointments in the interim government cabinet.
"The people of Afghanistan are waiting for professionals and specialists to be appointed in the government, in addition to the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Taliban," said Salim Paigeer, a political analyst.
"Changes and transfers occur in every governmental system, and of course, the leader appoints individuals where he deems them suitable," said Moeen Gul Samkanai, a political anlyst.
On 8th of Jawza (solar calender), the leader of the Islamic Emirate issued a decree appointing multiple individuals as acting ministers, deputies, and governors in various provinces. These appointments were part of ongoing efforts to reorganize and strengthen the interim government’s administrative structure.
