To improve security in Nangarhar, a 100-member motorcycle patrol unit has been activated.
The provincial police command officials said that with the activation of this unit, criminal activities will be fully curtailed in Jalalabad city and other areas.
Mohammad Tahir Mobarez, the security deputy of Nangarhar police command, said: "The 100-member unit consists of young mujahideen who have completed professional, religious, modern, and military training and are equipped with all modern and military equipment. Inshallah, they will ensure the security of the lives, property, honor, and dignity of the people of Nangarhar and all those living in the province to the best of their ability."
Meanwhile, the soldiers of this security unit say they will work around the clock to protect people's lives and property.
Soldier Niaz Gul said: "I assure the people that, Inshallah, there will be no danger to the public in the future."
Soldier Farmanullah said: "I assure the people of Nangarhar that those who used to commit theft and robbery will, Inshallah, be arrested and handed over to the law."
The residents of Nangarhar also say they are cooperating with the security forces to ensure safety.
Hewadul Haq, a resident of Jalalabad, said: "There used to be a lot of theft; people would have their phones stolen, and the problems were excessive. Inshallah, with this military unit, these problems will be solved, and we hope they continue to work towards greater security."
Jawed Mia Khil, another resident of Jalalabad, said: "This unit will greatly help in our daily lives; first, it will establish security, and it will help prevent theft, smuggling, and other criminal activities, making our lives safer."
Nangarhar security officials say that to ensure the safety and protection of people's lives, they will soon activate similar security units in the remote districts of this province.
