9 Afghan Citizens Killed in a Traffic Accident in Iran

Following a traffic accident in Iran, 9 Afghan citizens have lost their lives and 16 others have been injured.

The bodies of these 9 individuals, who were residents of Shirin Tagab district in Faryab province, were transferred to Afghanistan and buried in their local area.

The families of the victims say that they had gone to Iran to find work but tragically lost their lives in the accident.

Abdulrahman, a resident of Atoqmar in Shirin Tagab district, lost his son in this incident. He says his son had gone to Iran to find work and support his family, but he died in the accident, leaving behind his young children without a guardian.

Abdulrahman said: "May God help his children; his financial situation was not good. He had gone to Iran to earn a piece of bread."

The relatives of the victims are urging officials and relief organizations to create job opportunities for young people to prevent them from illegally migrating to foreign countries.

Mohammad Zahir, a family member of the victims, said: "He had gone to Iran to earn a piece of bread. He said he would work and send money to his children, but he was martyred on the way."

It is reported that these individuals, numbering 25, were traveling to Iran illegally in a cargo truck. Their vehicle collided at night in the Sistan and Baluchistan region of Iran, resulting in the death of 9 people and injuries to 16 others.

It is said that the injured were taken to hospitals in Iran.

Local officials in Faryab confirmed the incident in a call with TOLOnews.
