The Islamic Emirate reported conducting operations against the hideouts of those responsible for recent attacks in the provinces of Ghor, Bamyan, and Kabul.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said that in two separate operations in Ghor and Kunar provinces, four members of this group were killed.
Mujahid said that these individuals, under the leadership of ISIS Khorasan based in Balochistan, were behind all recent attacks in the country.
According to Mujahid, the deadly incident in the area between Daikundi and Ghor was also carried out by these individuals.
The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate further said: "These were the same individuals who, a short time ago, martyred and injured several of our fellow citizens between Ghor and Daikundi provinces. They were being pursued by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. In the past two days, our forces managed to arrest ten of them and also discovered their hideout. In a special operation yesterday, the leader of this crime, along with one of his accomplices, was killed."
Mujahid also mentioned that during this operation, a quantity of weapons, ammunition, including hand grenades, and explosive materials were seized.
Regarding the group's centers, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said: "The Islamic Emirate is determined to punish anyone who threatens the security of the people and takes action against them, as soon as possible."
"The ISIS project has external dimensions, not internal ones, and it does not relate to the people of Afghanistan. We fought for our freedom and against occupation, but we were never terrorists," Yousuf Amin Zazai, a military affairs expert, told TOLOnews.
Earlier, in the month of Sunbula (solar calendar), unknown individuals opened fire on civilians in the area between Daikundi and Ghor, resulting in the death or injury of twenty people.
