The Ministry of Education has built 125 schools and over 30 madrasas across the country in the first six months of this year.
Mansoor Ahmad Hamza, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, stated that these schools and madrasas were constructed with financial support from charitable organizations and national businessmen, amounting to over 1.224 billion Afghanis.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education said about the construction of these schools: "At a cost of 1.224 billion and 233 thousand Afghanis, approximately 125 schools and 38 madrasas have been constructed and are now operational."
Mansoor Ahmad Hamza added that nearly 11 million students across the country are currently engaged in education.
Regarding the number of students in the country, the Ministry of Education spokesperson said, "Currently, 10 million 914 thousand and 38 students are studying in Emirate and private schools throughout the country."
Shir Agha Rohani, a university professor, commented, "Schools are the foundation of a country's development and progress, relying on the strength of its education system. If the education sector stands strong, the country will stand strong in every way."
According to officials at the Ministry of Education, projects valued at 200 million Afghanis have been implemented to build boundary walls, establish electrical systems, dig wells for drinking water, and provide additional facilities for students nationwide.
