Allama Iqbal Scholarships: Second Exam Phase Set for January 2025

 Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, stated on X that the second phase of the in-person and online exams for the Allama Iqbal Scholarships will be held on January 25 and 26, 2025.

He mentioned that nearly 21,000 Afghan students (both male and female) have registered for these scholarships.

According to Sadiq Khan, Afghan applicants residing in Pakistan will take the exam in person in the cities of Quetta and Peshawar, while students living in Afghanistan will participate online.

"For Afghan students residing in Pakistan, the physical test centers will be located in Peshawar and Quetta. Meanwhile, students in Afghanistan will participate in an online test,” said Sadiq Khan.

He added that the registration process for these scholarships began in October 2024, and a total of 20,806 applications were submitted, out of which 15,791 were from male applicants and 5,015 from female applicants.

The provided numbers indicate that 14,244 applications were received for undergraduate programs, 5,946 for master's programs, and 616 for doctoral programs.

According to Pakistan’s Special Representative, the exams and interviews will be conducted under the supervision of three evaluation committees to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

Sadiq Khan also mentioned that accepted students will commence their preparatory academic programs at the National University of Technology (NUTECH) and the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES FAST) in early March 2025.
