Islamic Emirate Grants Five-Year Tax Exemption to Returning Investors

The Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office has announced that the Islamic Emirate, under a special policy, will not collect taxes from returning investors and industrialists for the next five years.

Abdul Salam Hanafi made these remarks during a land distribution ceremony for returnees in Ghazni province.

He said: "Those migrants who own large businesses in Pakistan—such as factories or commercial operations—will be supported by a dedicated committee and provided with various facilities. They will be given free land in industrial parks, and free housing will be allocated near these parks. Moreover, they will be exempt from all taxes for five years."

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing announced that the plan to construct 35 townships for returnees across 25 provinces has been completed.

Hamidullah Nomani stated: "Within the past nine months, plans have been prepared for all areas where living conditions for returnees can be established. In 25 provinces, blueprints for 35 townships have been finalized, and in some areas, the distribution of residential plots has already begun."

Additionally, the foundation stone for a market in the Andar district of Ghazni province was laid by officials of the Islamic Emirate.

"The detailed plan for the first phase of this township has been finalized. Based on family size, land plots ranging from five to fifteen biswa (approximately 625 to 1,875 square meters) have been allocated. All essential public services will be available in this township."

Hamidurrahman Shahidkhel, Engineering Head of Ghazni's Urban Development Directorate, said: "The detailed plan for the Miri market in Andar district includes 192 residential plots, 12 commercial blocks, and up to 7 commercial caravanserais."

To ensure permanent resettlement for returnees, around 4,000 acres of land have been allocated in Ghazni's Township No. 2, of which nearly 2,000 acres will be distributed to eligible returnees in the first phase.
