Eleven Daesh insurgents surrendered to Afghan security forces in northern Jawzjan province on Sunday, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement.

According to the statement the Daesh fighters who were active in Qoshtepa district in the province have renounced violence and surrendered their weapons.

“The security forces welcome those who renounce violence and join the peaceful life,” the statement read adding that “those who are fighting will be eliminated,” by the security forces.

However, the statement did not provide further details.
