16 Security Forces Killed In Farah Clash

At least 16 Afghan security forces were killed in a clash with Taliban insurgents in Farah province, the Ministry of Defense said. 

According to the ministry the clash happened on Friday night when a group of Taliban from the neighboring province attacked Farah city in a bid to take control of the city. 

The ministry said security forces responded to the Taliban and as a result 45 Taliban insurgents were killed and more than 40 were wounded. 

Taliban confirmed the clash.
