194 of 495 Latest COVID-19 Tests are Positive

The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday reported 194 new positive cases in the past 24 hours out of 495 tests.

The ministry also reported 22 deaths due to COVID-19 over the last 24 hours while 126 others have recovered.

With this, the total COVID-19 cases in the country reached 33,384, the total deaths reached 920 and the total number of recoveries is 20,151.

Meanwhile, the number of known active cases of COVID-19 in the country is 12,313 and, so far, 76,910 samples have been tested, according to data by the Ministry.

Herat was on the top of the list with 57 new cases followed by Daikundi with 32 cases and Takhar with 23.

The recoveries were reported in Kabul (15), Kandahar (6), Balkh (11), Nangarhar (1), Badghis (12), Logar (2), Ghazni (11), Parwan (5), Badakhshan (5), Wardak (6), Khost (2), Laghman (1), Kunar (2) and Panjshir (3).

The deaths were reported in Kabul (13), Nangarhar (3), Kunduz (3), Balkh (1), Bamiyan (1) and Samangan (1).
