At least 22 insurgents were killed during Afghan forces ground and air operations in the past 24 hours across the country.
Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Sunday that at least six insurgents were killed in ANA clearing operations in the vicinity of Basram in Mihtarlam , Laghman’s province capital.
The ministry said that in separate ANA airstrikes and ground operations in Kama and Nazyan districts of Nangarhar province at least six Daesh militants were killed and one suspect was arrested.
In addition, 10 insurgents were killed and four were wounded during ANA airstrikes and ground operations in Nahar Saraj, Nad Ali and Washir districts of Helmand province, MoD said.
According to the MoD during the operations enemy vehicles, weapons, ammunitions and bases were destroyed.
No report on ANA casualties was given.
