Fourteen 14 armed Taliban insurgents were killed on Tuesday night and 15 others were wounded in clashes with Afghan National Police in Zazai Aryoub district in Paktia province, the ministry of interior said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to them the incident took place in Dak region when the group of armed Taliban fighters attacked an Afghan National Police patrol.

During the incident, one Afghan National Border Policeman was wounded.

No civilians were harmed, read the statement.
