The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Saturday said at least 33 armed insurgents were killed during Afghan airstrikes across the country in the past 24 hours.
Three others were wounded during the airstrikes, the MoD said.
According to the ministry, in the first airstrike operation conducted in Nad Ali and Marja districts of Helmand province, 13 insurgents were killed and weapons, ammunition and hideouts were destroyed.
The ministry said the second airstrike was conducted in the Chora district of Uruzgan province and 20 insurgents were killed and three motorcycles, weapons and bases were also destroyed.
