At least four civilians were killed when their vehicle struck a roadside mine in Farah province in Monday night, local officials said Tuesday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Aqbal Bahir confirmed the incident and said the blast happened in Pusht Rod district when a vehicle hit a roadside mine.
Two women are among the victims, Bahir added.
Bahir said that the mine was recently planted by Taliban insurgents to target security forces.
The Taliban has not commented.
