Media Worker Killed in Saturday's Blast in Kabul

Hameed Saighani, a former employee for Ariana News, was killed in Saturday's explosion in western Kabul city. 

Hujatullah Mujadadi, a member of the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Association (AIJA), said Saighani was a former employee of Ariana News in Kabul.  

“Saighani was killed in today’s explosion in the Mahtab Qala area in Dasht-e-Barchi,” he told to TOLOnews.    

Officials have confirmed that one civilian was killed, and two others were wounded in an explosion in a transport vehicle.  

The Islamic Emirate spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the explosion reportedly was caused by a transport vehicle that caught fire. He said an investigation has been started into the incident.

In today’s explosion in Kabul one civilian was killed and two were wounded, according to officials.
