Bus Crash in Takhar Leaves Three Dead, Dozens Wounded

At least three people were killed and over 30 others were wounded in a bus crash on the Takhar-Badakhshan highway in northeastern Afghanistan on Saturday morning, local officials said.

The incident happened in Kalafgan district in the northeastern province of Takhar early on Saturday morning when a 404 bus lost its control and went out of the road.

The officials said some of the wounded are in critical condition.

Traffic accidents on Afghanistan’s highways often happen due to carelessness by drivers and lack of proper roads and traffic signs, according to government officials.
