At least one civilian was killed and another was wounded in a roadside mine blast in the southern province of Kandahar on Monday morning, a local police official confirmed.  

The incident occurred in Zharai district when a motorcycle struck a roadside mine, police officials said.  

The local police blame the Taliban for the blast, but the Taliban has not yet commented.
