Heavy clashes are ongoing between the Afghan security forces and Taliban militants in Seyagerd district in the central Parwan province, a security source told TOLOnews Friday.
According to the source, at least 400 Taliban fighters launched coordinated attacks on the Afghan Public Protection Force (APPF) and the Afghan Local Police (ALP) check posts in the district early on Friday morning.
Fighting is ongoing in Fandaqestan and Azghar villages in the district, said the source.
The security source also said one police force member was killed and four others including three public protection unit’s personnel and an army soldier have been wounded in the battle.
Meanwhile, the locals said three civilians were injured in the ongoing battle between the security forces and the Taliban.
