Nangarhar residents say many routes in three parts of the city have been closed for the public due to presence of diplomatic offices of Iran, Pakistan and India.

The residents said they want the offices to be taken to a proper place and out of the residential houses.

“Our women, our teachers and our managers when going out face a very big rush,” said Mir Ahmad Durrani, a local representative “we have dignity and we are Afghans,”.

Residents of the City said that most of the routs which connect them to their home have blocked, adding that many times shared the problems with the official, but not solved.

“The area is in trouble with the visa applicants,” said Nasratullah, resident of Nangarhar province.

“We urged from the governor and police head to solve the problems,” said, Gulab Khan, another resident of the Nangarhar.

Nangarhar local officials also confirmed the problems added the consulates placed in residential places.

“The home which have problems can coordinate with the provincial organization, and the consulate,” said Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar province. “They (consulate) added that we want to rent the places, but people were not present.”

TOLOnews tried to interview Iran, Pakistan and India Consulates but not succeed.
