TOLOnews journalist Mir Abed Joyenda reporting from near the Emergency Hospital in Kabul said sporadic gunfire has been heard in the area but the reasons for it are not as yet clear.
Not only are there hundreds of demonstrators still gathered in the area but family and friends of the victims of Saturday’s deadly bombing at the burial service of Salem Ezadyar, the son of an Afghan senator, have also converged on the hospital.
In this attack, three suicide bombers detonated explosives killing as many as 20 and wounding over 80. The wounded were taken to the Emergency Hospital.
Meanwhile, organizers of the march issued a list of demands earlier in the day and said they will continue their demonstrations until their requests have been met.
