Kazakhstan Offers Military and Security Help to Afghanistan

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry (KMDAI) has announced it will help Afghanistan in different sectors, CEO Abdullah Abdullah’s Office said in a statement on Monday.

The statement said that Beibut Atamkulov, the Minister of KMDAI, met with Abdullah and said: “His country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in business, on energy development, on building of a railway line, and in the military and security (sector).”

He also said that agreements regarding military assistance, satellite image capturing and cybersecurity will be signed soon with Afghanistan.

In the meantime, Abdullah told him at the meeting that common security threats in the region is one of the challenges ahead and emphasized the need for more cooperation in defence and security between both countries to cut down on the threats.
