Nafisa Hijran, a member of Logar's provincial council, and her driver were wounded in a shooting on Monday morning in the province, said Logar police officials.
A gunman shot at Hijran’s vehicle in Pul-e-Alam, capital of Logar province, said Shahpoor Ahmadzai, a spokesman for the Logar police chief.
“Hijran is in stable condition and has been sent to Kabul for treatment,” said Ahmadzai.
The gunman has been arrested, and “investigations are ongoing.”
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
