At least one civilian was killed on Saturday morning when the vehicle the person was traveling in hit a roadside mine in Gardez city of Pakita. 

Provincial police chief spokesman Sardar Wali Tabasam confirmed the incident and said a second passenger had been wounded. 

Police have started investigations, Tabasam said. 

So far no group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
