Etihad Journal's 101st Anniversary Celebrated in Baghlan

The 101st anniversary of the Etihad Journal was celebrated by the local authorities in Baghlan province.

Head of the Etihad Journal, Sayedullah Sadaat, said that it has been 101 years since the publication of the journal.

He said they are attempting to publish it once a month and make it available to Baghlan residents.

“The journal is freely distributed to 34 directorates of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Nahrin, Doshi, and Farjaq districts in Baghlan, as well as the ministries of the Islamic Emirate and the Office of the Prime Minister,” Sadaat noted.

The Information and Culture Department in Baghlan said that efforts are underway to repair printing machines in the province.

“The machine that previously had a lot of issues has been activated. We can conduct its operations in seven provinces, including publishing newspapers, magazines, and other materials, even official documents,” said Asadullah Mustafa Hashemi, the director of the information and culture department in Baghlan.

Etihad Journal is said to have started off in Kunduz province under King Amanullah Khan before moving to Baghlan.

Etihad Journal has been publishing for a century but in the last two years, the two Baghlan weekly publications, Banu and Selsela, have ceased operation over financial issues.
