Gul Mohammad, 20, a young man who was tortured on the second day of Eid al-Adha in Bilchiragh District of Faryab, is demanding justice.
The young man claimed that he was brutally tortured by several members of the Islamic Emirate forces against all Islamic principles.
Gul Mohammad told TOLOnews: "They tied my hands and eyes, and also my feet, then they did this."
Gul Mohammad's family said that those who committed this inhumane and un-Islamic act must be punished.
"Why did they commit this injustice against us without law, governance, and Sharia? We want retribution and demand the enforcement of the law," said Mahmood, Gul Mohammad's father.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for Faryab security command described this act as shocking and inhumane, stating that the perpetrators would be dealt with seriously and legally. According to Abdullah Moradi, the spokesman for Faryab security command, several perpetrators of this group torture have been arrested.
Abdullah Moradi said that ten people have been identified as suspects in this case, of which six have been arrested and efforts are ongoing to arrest the other four.
Moradi, noting that this incident occurred due to personal and social hostilities, said: "This incident was neither directed by the commander nor by the district governor, but was carried out by an ordinary soldier, and the Faryab security command is trying to arrest the other four people as well, and all ten will be punished for their actions."
Gul Mohammad is currently undergoing treatment at the Faryab Provincial Hospital.
