Faryab Residents Donate Land for School Construction

 The Faryab Education Department reports that residents of this province have donated approximately twenty jiribs of land free of charge for the purpose of building schools.

According to the department, the construction of 17 schools on lands donated by local residents has been undertaken this year.

Mohammad Taher Jawad, head of education in Faryab said: "So far, about 20 jiribs of land has been donated to education, and we are currently constructing schools on most of it, and this series will continue."

 Jawad clarified that for balanced development, quality assurance, and better educational facilities, the Faryab Education Department needs more support.

Faryab residents said they will continue their efforts to support education and provide a suitable learning environment for students.

Abdul Khalil, a resident, said: "We would give our lives, not just land, for education. We gave the land so our children can learn knowledge and lift us out of poverty."

Another resident, Ghulam Sakhi, said: "Our children do not have a safe place to study and they are under trees and in the sun. that’s why we ask you to build our school quickly."

Jan Mohammad, another resident, said: "We hope that with Allah's help, the construction of our school will solve our problems one hundred percent, Inshallah."

According to the Faryab Education Department, there are 498 schools in the province, of which 155 schools lack buildings, and more than 82,000 students are studying under the shade of trees, in rental houses, mosques, or open spaces.
