Chaman Protesters Pledge to Block Road to Spin Boldak on December 4

Members of the Chaman protest movement have announced that on December 4th, they will block the Chaman-Spin Boldak road to traffic.

According to members of the movement, the reason for this action is the imposition of restrictions on the movement of people on both sides of the hypothetical border.

"On December 4th, we informed the authorities of exports and imports not to allow any movement. On the same day, we will hold a large demonstration in front of the Chaman military fort, and we will await the decision of the elders regarding the next steps,” said Mohammad Wali, a member of this movement.

"The Pakistanis and even the world, who are afraid of the Pashtuns today, still hear the sound of the great Emperor Ahmad Shah Baba's sword ringing in their ears. They are even afraid of our brave women, like Malala. For this reason, we say that they must learn from our history,” said Hayatullah Afghan, a member of the leadership of the protest movement.

Some members of the Chaman protest movement have claimed that Pakistani security forces charge 100,000 Pakistani rupees even for the transfer of dead bodies.

"The Pakistanis charge one hundred thousand Pakistani rupees without any evidence for crossing a path called Mazal Gali, even for dead bodies. However, we will stand firmly against this injustice and continue our struggle,” said Sadiq Khan Achakzai, the spokesperson for the Chaman protest movement.

"The Chaman protest movement has brave individuals who can challenge any official and demand their rights,” said Azam Khan, another leadership member of the movement.

In recent months, political unrest has increased in Pakistan, which has also affected the security and social situation in border areas like Chaman.
