Healthcare Center Inaugurated in Farah’s Khak Safid District

A healthcare center, built at a cost of $300,000, has been inaugurated in the Khak Safid district of Farah province.

Local officials state that the center has the capacity to treat at least 300 patients daily.

"This project will be implemented here for 10 months, and we hope it will be extended and its services continued in the future,” said Ehsanullah Shakir, head of public health in Farah.

"Healthcare services in Farah, especially in Khak Safid district, are insufficient. We request more attention be given to this area,” said Jamaluddin Jalali, the head of the economy department in Farah.

Meanwhile, officials from national and international aid organizations have announced plans to construct several other healthcare centers in Farah province soon.

"Our services are provided in accordance with standards, and all the necessary equipment will be used in these centers according to those standards,” said Abdul Jalil Farogh, head of the Women’s Global Organization in Farah.

"In total, 15 permanent healthcare centers are planned in Farah province. Out of these, three centers have been activated, one of which was inaugurated today. Additionally, eight other centers have been dedicated solely to providing services in Khak Safid district,” said Abdul Wahid Rahimi, another aid official in Farah.

Residents of Khak Safid district are calling for more healthcare centers and improved services.

"Facilities for childbirth should be provided so that women do not need to be transferred to the city. Furthermore, more attention should be given to addressing child malnutrition,” said Allahdad, a resident of Farah.

Officials emphasize that Khak Safid is one of the remote areas of Farah province, where most residents have limited access to healthcare services and require greater attention.
