Residents of more than 300 families in the village of Chashma-e-Bid Darah-e-Jozgon, located in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province, say they are facing serious challenges such as poor road conditions and the lack of health centers, and schools.
They have called on the officials of the caretaker government to address these issues.
“We don’t have a clinic we don’t have a school. There is a school, but it’s in a very remote area, and we are facing many difficulties,” said Amir Mohammad, a resident of this village.
“Sometimes, we are forced to use ID cards to transport patients because there is no road for vehicles to pass through,” said Abdul Azim, another resident of this village.
“Our children cannot even go to school. When it rains, we cannot access the provincial center for three to four days,” said Naseer Ahmad, another resident.
Meanwhile, Hikmatullah Mohammadi, head of information at the Directorate of Information and Culture of Badakhshan, pledged that these issues will be addressed.
“If there are problems in terms of roads and health facilities, we will discuss them with the relevant officials, and the institutions will address them,” he said.
Badakhshan province, located in the northeast of the country, is among the regions where residents, especially in districts, face challenges such as lack of health centers, schools, electricity, and damaged roads. They have repeatedly called on officials to resolve these problems.
