Herat Municipality says that more than one hundred thousand flowers have been prepared for the development of green spaces and the beautification of the city for the upcoming spring.

According to the Herat Municipality, these decorative flowers are set to be planted in various parks and boulevards of Herat to give the city a fresh and beautiful appearance.

“Approximately one hundred thousand different flower cuttings have been prepared, which will be planted in boulevards, parks, and other necessary locations in the new year to make the city more beautiful,” said Abdulhadi Noori, the spokesperson for Herat Municipality.

Simultaneously, the Herat Municipality has also started planting more than twenty thousand saplings and flower bushes in different parts of the city.

Alongside the municipality’s efforts, private nurseries are also active in the cultivation of flowers and plants in Herat.

Nazir Ahmad Haidari, one of the managers of flower nurseries, cultivates dozens of types of flowers and plants in his nursery and says: “I want to promote the appreciation of flowers and plants among the people. This can bring joy to people and provide them with peace when they see flowers.”

Herat Municipality’s efforts to expand green spaces have been widely welcomed by residents. They demand regular maintenance and watering of these flowers to ensure the city’s beauty remains intact.

Naqibullah, a resident of Herat, said: “Flowers provide emotional motivation to humans. Humans are emotional beings and need to refresh their feelings. Seeing flowers and their various colors gives an indescribable feeling to people.”

 “Flowers uplift human spirits and enhance the beauty of nature. We are pleased with the municipality’s efforts to plant flowers for us,” Farzad Mohammadi, another resident of Herat, said.

According to municipal officials, nearly seven hundred species of flowers have been cultivated in Herat, which will be planted in the city’s parks and boulevards.

Many residents also use these decorative flowers in their homes and gardens, striving to make their living spaces more beautiful and vibrant.
