Officials from the Kandahar Traffic Management Department say that efforts to organize and regulate the province’s traffic system are ongoing.

They emphasize that instilling traffic awareness among citizens can play a significant role in reducing road accidents.

 "We are working to instill a traffic culture among people to reduce the number of accidents,” stated Saifullah Bismil, the public relations officer of Kandahar Traffic Management. 

Meanwhile, a local performing artist in Kandahar is also working to educate people about traffic rules by translating video clips.

Fazl-ul-Haq Hadi, who has been active in performing arts for years, now aims to create short videos on traffic signs and display them on Kandahar’s main roads.

"My goal is to use art to raise public awareness about traffic rules and help prevent accidents,” said Fazl-ul-Haq Hadi, a Kandahari performer.

This comes as several provinces across the country have witnessed fatal traffic incidents in recent weeks.
