Panjshir Welcomes 40,000 Tourists in Two Weeks

Local officials in Panjshir say that in the past two weeks, around 40,000 domestic and foreign tourists have visited the province.

The governor of Panjshir told TOLOnews that many facilities have been arranged for tourists in the province.

Mohammad Agha Hakim, the governor of Panjshir, said: "We are 100% prepared to receive tourists coming to Panjshir. All Afghans can visit Panjshir and enjoy its beauty in a safe environment."

Some domestic tourists visiting Panjshir are also calling on officials to further improve facilities in recreational areas.

Samim Sultani, who recently returned from France, told TOLOnews: "I love the beauty and people of Panjshir, which is why I came here with my brothers to see the province up close."

Sharif, a resident of Khost, said: "We are happy to be here. We haven’t faced any problems or disturbances."

Abdul Hamid, a tourist from Kabul, said: "It’s spring and the perfect time to visit Panjshir. The people here are very welcoming. Our friends and brothers from different ethnic groups come here and treat each other kindly."

Spring is considered a suitable season for tourism, and with improved security across the country in recent years, the tourism industry has grown significantly.
