A commander of the public uprising forces was killed in a Taliban ambush in northern Sar-e-Pul province on Monday, local officials confirmed on Tuesday.
Four public uprising forces were wounded in the ambush, said Waris Wahaj, a spokesman for provincial governor.
He said the incident took place in Sancharak district in the province in which Noorullah, a public uprising commander, was killed.
He did not provide more details on the incident.
Taliban has not commented on the report.
