Senior Taliban Commanders Killed In Laghman Air Raids

At least three senior Taliban commanders were killed in Afghan security forces air operations in eastern Laghman province, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Monday.

“Last night (Sunday night), seven Taliban fighters including three senior commanders of the group were killed and three others were wounded after Afghan Air Force targeted their hideouts in Alingar district in Laghman province,” the statement said.

“Weapons, vehicles and an hideout of Taliban militants and their coordination center were destroyed during the operation,” the statement added.

The statement did not provide further details.

Taliban has not commented on the report.
