At least six Taliban insurgents were killed in a foreign troop’s airstrike in eastern Paktia province on Sunday, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement on Monday.
In addition, five other insurgents were wounded.
The airstrike happened in Kohsin area of Sayed Karam of the province after the foreign troops targeted the insurgents, the statement said.
Sayed Karam is an insecure district in the province in which insurgents have activities and frequently target local security forces.
However, the Taliban have not yet commented on the airstrike.
