Local officials said on Saturday that the Taliban killed three members of one family in Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pul province on Friday night.
Zabiullah Amani, the provincial governor’s spokesman, said the incident happened on Friday night in Tabar village of the district.
Amani said the Taliban attacked Mohammad Asif’s house at around midnight and shot three members of his family and wounded one another.
Amani said Asif was a farmer. Two other family members were killed and his wife was wounded, said Amani.
The motive for the killing was not clear and the Taliban has not yet comment.
