Trump To Turn Up Heat On Pakistan

US President Donald Trump will dispatch his top diplomatic and military advisers to Pakistan in the coming weeks, turning up the heat on a nuclear-armed ally accused of harboring terror groups, AFP reports.

Weeks after Trump accused Islamabad of providing safe havens to insurgents, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will apparently visit Pakistan late this month, while Secretary of Defense James Mattis will follow him.

The visits reportedly intended to follow up on Trump’s message that Pakistan’s support to insurgents has to end, AFP reported.

In August, Trump said: "We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars at the same time they are housing the very terrorists that we are fighting."

This was in reference to the money the US has been paying to Pakistan to help fight terrorism.
