Two Border Policemen Killed in Helmand Car Bomb

At least two border policemen were killed in a car bomb in southern Helmand province early Wednesday, local officials confirmed.

The attack took place at about 8:30am local time in Nad Ali district while the border police  had gathered in the area, a spokesman for the provincial governor, Omar Zwak said.

“A military operation was launched a few days ago in that area and the blast happened while the border police were together,” Zwak said.

However, a source confirmed to TOLOnews that six border policemen were killed in the blast.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
