Two Killed In Laghman Suicide Attack

At least two Afghan security force members were killed, and 26 people were wounded—including civilians—after a suicide truck bomb detonated close to the police headquarters of Alishing district in Laghman on Wednesday morning, local officials confirmed.

The attack took place at approximately 6 am local time.

“The district governor’s compound and a madrasa were close to the blast site,” officials said, adding that “20 students of the madrasa and six security forces were wounded in the blast.”

The wounded have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

An eyewitness said the blast also damaged nearby buildings.

The Taliban claimed responsibly for the attack.
