The Uruzgan Department of Information and Culture announced the annual 'Gul-e-Gulab' poetry recital event in this province.

According to officials from this department, in addition to Uruzgan poets, poetry and literature enthusiasts from neighboring provinces also participated in this event.

Messages such as freedom of the homeland, education, progress, and encouraging the youth through poetry were shared with the participants of this program.

Agha Wali Quraishi, head of Uruzgan's Information and Culture department, said: "We will organize such gatherings at the national level and strive to invite our compatriots from all corners of the country to Uruzgan and host them."

"Our homeland is full of gems. If we learn knowledge, our homeland will also become like Japan," said Lal Mohammad Masoumi, a poet.

Local officials in Uruzgan consider the organization of such literary programs beneficial for strengthening unity and patriotism, and they emphasize its expansion.

They called on poets to reflect the country's progress in the language of poetry.

Enayatullah Shuja, the governor of Uruzgan, said: "Treat your people well, leave the nation alone. There is no place left in this nation for suffering."

The Gul-e-Gulab poetry recital program was held in the sports stadium of Trinkot city, and in addition to poetry recitals, dramatic pieces were also performed by artists until midnight.
