The Ministry of Information and Culture announced its efforts to register the country's historical sites on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
Khabib Ghufran, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture, said that some of the country's historical monuments are already registered with UNESCO, such as the city of Zuhak, the city of Gholghola, Minaret of Jam in Ghor, and the Kakrak Valley.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture said: "So far, the Ministry of Information and Culture, through its efforts, has managed to register 9 historical sites with UNESCO, including the City of Zuhak, the City of Gholghola, the Minaret of Jam in Ghor, and the Kakrak Valley."
According to Ghofran, the ministry is also currently working to register Babur's Garden on UNESCO's cultural heritage list.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture stated: "The Ministry of Information and Culture, in cooperation with UNESCO, is working to register Babur's Garden as well."
Ketab Khan Faizi, head of the Kushani International Research Center, said: "Babur's Garden is also a candidate. We hope that the esteemed UNESCO organization will register this garden on the World Cultural Heritage list."
Previously, during his visits to historical sites, the Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of China emphasized the registration of Afghanistan's historical sites with the Asian Alliance for Cultural Heritage Conservation (ACHA)
