Art Exhibition Held For Herat Children

An art exhibition with at least 200 artworks was held in Herat city on Saturday to help children get familiar with the art of painting.

The exhibition titled “Children’s Dreams” featured a variety of popular cartoon characters and stories

The organizers of the event said the artworks, prepared by 18 artists, will help children to be creative and increase their ability to learn.

“Generally, when children are playing with colors it increases their creativity, therefore, we provided them the ground to see more colors and increase their ‘creativity’,” said Satar Farzam, an organizer of the event.

Those who visited the exhibition said they found the artworks unique and according to them, it is a first-ever exhibition which displays watercolor artworks.

“I want to be an artist in the future,” said Elyas Nazari, a Herat resident, who visited the exhibition with his parents.

“I really liked these artworks,” said Paiman, a visitor.

The creation of the artworks took five months, artists said.
